One of my customers approached me about re-doing her son's baby book. I've looked through the book quite a bit and finally suggested that we go the digital route so that I don't have to tear up her book. She agreed. So I got started today. This is going to be fun! I'm showing giving some basic instruction at a church meeting tonight on how to do a personal history, digitally. Something like this is a perfect example!

I remember a time when I went to a lot of bridal showers- it seemed like all of my friends got married all at once...and maybe they did! It seems now that I only get to attend baby showers. I suppose its one of those phases in life- what's next? Graduations? Oh my.
Anyhow- one of my sweet friends had a darling baby boy days before her baby shower. Surprise! So her hostesses gathered all of the gifts and brought them to the new family. This was my contribution.
I made her a thick stack of thank-you cards with Liam's name on them. I think they came out awfully cute. Thank you MDS!
Then I made her a little notebook to keep tabs on the gifts and such- or whatever she wants, really. The sticker is from a retired Simple Scrappin' Kit that I just love- those frogs are just darling!
I added a cute sleeper- love those things- and put them in an empty diaper wipes container. I thought it was particularly cute and since I don't have a lot of BOY things in this house- I thought it would work. Surprisingly- or maybe not- it ALL matches! I love it when a plan comes together!
I recently spent some time reorganizing my office. I decided I wanted a bed in there, and we had also moved our main computer into another bedroom- so we moved that desk out. Anyhow- it was time. So once again I reorganized my office/playroom- take a look!
I got this shelfing unit from Ikea, love that place...although I've never been inside! I got the decor element from SU! of course, and you'll notice a lot of SU! organizational stuff too- love it!

Anyhow, I think your space should fit your needs- a closet, a room, a partial room, or even the diningroom table- whatever works!

Howdy from Texas, folks.
I used a new product from Stampin' Up! recently and I wanted to share it with you. This product- as you can derive from the title- is called Smooch Spritz.
It comes in 4 colors: Gold glow, Silver Foil, Vanilla Shimmer, & Log Cabin. I bought this product a while back...and it has sat in my stuff...for a while, if I'm being honest! Anyhow, I was working on this scrapbook (which I have finished- by the way) and I thought it needed a little something special, so I got out the spritz, read the instructions, and gave it a try.
See the little shimmer? Too cool. I only have 2 of the colors, and now I *NEED* all four. Its not something that I think I'll use on every project, but it sure was fun. Its super easy to use- just like a little perfume squiter- it goes right on your work. Try it out, I think you'll like it!

I've been doing a lot of scrapbooking this summer so far, its one of those projects that I enjoy and keeps me in the creative mood. I've also been trying out a lot of Stampin' Up's new products and I hope to have several "Weekend Reviews" for you in the upcoming weeks. Since its Monday, I'm just calling this one a Product review.
I bought Baker's Twine, all three colors, out of the Summer Mini recently. I'm a sucker for ribbon-ish things and I use Linen Thread a ton, so this seemed like a good fit. I really like using it. Its softer than Linen Thread, and has more of a floss feel, but you can use it in all of the same places that you would use Linen Thread- buttons, sewing, or an embellishment.
Here I used it to add some dimension to this tag on my scrapbooking page. At its inexpensive price, this product is a must have.

I used Baker's Twine on the tag, in buttons, and in a little bow on the safety pin on the stars. Cool stuff? And isn't that Designer Paper dreamy? It's called Love Letter and its retiring soon! Gotta get you some!
Other products used: Night of Navy paper/ink, Riding Hood Red ink, sponges, corduroy buttons, small star punch, antiqued safety pins, 1-inch circle punch

Paper Piecing is one of those old stamping tricks that has a big pay-off with very little effort- all it requires is multiple stamps of one image on different sheets of paper that are cut and glued into place.
Easy peasy. I pulled this out to finish a scrapbook lay-out I had been working on.
It added just the right touch. Here's the entire view of the lay-out, note the little hand just almost touching that lay-out. :)
I am finishing up a scrapbook that I've been working on for a customer. I gave a little sneak peak here. Here is the finished product.
